We are a small family in Albuquerque, New Mexico (Elliot, Rebecca, & Elliette). We were inspired to create a ‘clean’ candle for our family and to share with other families by our ‘homie with an extra chromie’, Elliette. Our daughter, Elliette, was born with Down Syndrome and our mission is to advocate for her and for inclusion. Elliette has Trisomy 21, for she has 47 chromosomes vs. 46 chromosomes.  For instance, “She has three copies of chromosomes 21, instead of the usual two copies, in all cells.” We and many others are considered ‘The lucky few’. We want to inform the world about Down Syndrome and share Elliette’s success story to enlighten the stigma hospitals and the internet have upon these beautiful people with Down Syndrome. We are more alike than different, and that view needs to change in society.  Also, we will be donating 1% to ‘Ruby’s Rainbow’ an organization to provide higher education to students with Down Syndrome. We use coconut soy wax blend, and our scents are made in America. We strive for quality, don’t cut corners for profits, and use scents that are 100% phthalate free and exclude: carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins, organ toxins, acute toxins. We offer wood and cotton wicks. The wood wicks are eco-friendly, and the cotton wicks are lead and zinc free.
